There’s much to love about Boston’s North End: the pasta, the cannoli, and beautiful Italian weddings like Rebecca and Frankie’s! Our day started at The Dagny Boston hotel with classic getting-ready coverage of both the bride & groom in separate suites before we hopped on a shuttle over to St. Leonard’s Catholic Church for the ceremony. Following the service, Boston’s Italian Roma Band entertained wedding guests with a repertoire of favorites, all the while leading our procession like the Pied Piper along Hanover St. to the nearby TABLE restaurant for cocktails & dinner.

But before settling down for the delicious cuisine, we first wanted to explore the surrounding neighborhood for portraits. Prior to the wedding day, I shared a list of suggested North End picture locations with Rebecca, that way she could pre-select her favorite spots, and we could make the most of our time together. Planning your picture locations in advance is important because you have guests to return to in a timely manner and, maybe more importantly, no bride wants to do a lot of unnecessary walking in a wedding dress and shoes. So, plan out those photo op spots and be open to creative discoveries along the way! Mamma Maria, Isabella Ristorante, North Square, and Mike’s Pastry made for fun backgrounds, but it’s the side streets and back alleys where the real character of the North End shines. After a day of celebration, we enjoyed one final adventure, The Original Party Trolley of Boston, a true party-on-wheels before returning us in style to where our day started.

What I’ll remember most about this celebration is Rebecca and Frankie’s commitment to enjoy themselves and have fun. A wedding day goes by in a flash, which is all the more reason to savor every moment and be present in that experience.
