Multigenerational family photo portrait sessions are a great opportunity for children, parents, and grandparents alike to bond over a shared activity and come away with a lasting visual heirloom for all ages to enjoy. During the portrait session, the kids can run free and engage with the outdoors, while the older generations can take part in posing with their grandchildren here and there without the little ones tiring from a more rigid formal activity.

As with all sessions, I encourage variety by having the subjects pose both individually and in different combinations with each other. There’s a lot of freestyle play and interaction, along with the more traditional “look at the camera” posing.
