Headshot Portrait Sessions are a great way to update your image and branding for personal or business use. I’ve photographed headshots for those that wish to have a polished collection of images on hand for Linkedin, their website, social media, printed marketing materials, or even an acting role. Depending on your needs, the session is tailored to capture images that speak to your unique personality and voice.

J. contacted me to update her headshots for both her website and published work. J. is a poet and essayist, so I suggested we shoot at Captain Solomon Jacobs Park in Gloucester — a quiet location full of character and soul. Probably our favorite spot here was the old Fitz Henry Lane House. Built atop the park’s hill with a panoramic view of Gloucester Harbor, the house was home to Fitz Henry Lane, an artist who painted images of the harbor from his third floor studio. The colorful patina on the exterior granite and the bright blue door made for a wonderful background, which is still an important consideration even when the photograph is focused primarily on you.
