Maudslay Park Fall Foliage Couples Portrait Session
NEWBURYPORT, MA FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
With fall once again upon us in New England, it’s a busy time of year for photographers and those who are looking to enjoy a portrait session amongst the foliage. To reserve a spot on the calendar for a fall foliage session, it’s always best to submit a booking inquiry earlier in the season or at the end of summer, especially for popular weekend bookings. With an average window of three to four weeks of autumn color, the ideal time for fall portrait sessions here in the North Shore of Massachusetts typically spans from the second to last weekend in October, with beautiful pockets of foliage lasting into November. For the purposes of portrait photography, a location need not have full-blown color from tree to tree. Instead, scattered clusters of trees with color can be used to great effect, even if others haven’t turned or have already dropped their leaves.
I had a fantastic time with this couple and their photogenic four-legged companion, taking them on a tour along the trails of Newburyport’s Maudslay Park — always a reliable favorite for bold bursts of color! Even with somewhat overcast skies, there was still plenty of pop to the canopy of reds, yellows, and oranges. Thank you again, M + B, for inviting me to work with you and for a great afternoon together!
