NORTH SHORE, MA SENIOR PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

There was an extra sharp chill in the air that morning, along with a wind that wouldn’t quit, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying a successful senior portrait session this past February weekend. It’s a little too easy this time of year to stay indoors — so, much respect for this student who braved the elements minus a heavy coat and proved you really can shoot year round here in New England if you put your mind to it.

We staged our senior portrait session in Downtown Haverhill, making use of some of the uniquely industrial and historic brick buildings. This is what I love most about environmental portraits and lifestyle portraiture… exploring new surroundings, seeking out interesting textures and natural light, all the while encouraging the subject to be casual, comfortable, and not overly concerned with staying in one spot and posing.
