TOPSFIELD NORTH SHORE SENIOR PORTRAIT SESSION PHOTOGRAPHER

Topsfield is best known for its annual Topsfield Fair this time of year. It’s the place to go in October for fried dough, homespun wares, carnival rides, and to see who won first place for best cherry tomatoes in the North Shore. On the fair’s final weekend, the family and I made plans to visit the festivities at night. But just a few hours before heading out to the fair with the family, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a local student for her senior portrait session.

I connected with I. and her mom at a local residence, where the landscaping and grounds were just so beautiful and made for the perfect spot for a photo session. Not only did we enjoy that magic hour photo-friendly light, but the foliage was just starting to turn, and many of the annual plants were still going strong. As someone who enjoys photography herself and has snapped a few senior pictures for her friends, I. was very comfortable with the camera, but she also acknowledged how different it is being on the other side of the lens. You definitely gain a different perspective when you’re the one being followed around by the camera verses being the photographer!
