Boston Common Engagement Proposal
BOSTON ENGAGEMENT PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHER
Boston Common is a fantastic location for your engagement proposal. A natural footprint in the center of the city, the park is only a few hops away from other equally beautiful locations such as Beacon Hill, Boston Public Garden, and Commonwealth Ave, providing for a variety of backgrounds to explore during a single session of picture-taking.
For this late afternoon proposal, our hour together started at the Boston Common Parkman Bandstand, and we were lucky enough to enjoy this attraction all to ourselves, which isn’t always the case with locations in the park. Prior to proposing, Akshay gifted his girlfriend a bound book he created, illustrating the story of their relationship — a really unique and personalized touch! After presenting the ring, we transitioned to an engagement session in Boston Common. I always encourage taking pictures after a proposal because this is when nerves have started to calm, spirits are high, and the joy is plentiful — great ingredients for wonderful pictures. Proposals can also be overwhelming, in a good way, and having pictures taken after the big moment is often key to capturing memories you’re too giddy to remember in the moment.
After wrapping engagement pictures at Boston Common, we crossed over to Beacon Hill, where our luck continued because Acorn Street, which is typically crowded, was pretty much empty and ours to exclusively enjoy. As the sun set, I suggested one final stop at Commonwealth Ave, with the twinkle lights just starting to pop against the dusk sky.
I had a wonderful time working with this couple, and I especially want to thank them for their enthusiasm, energy, and sense of humor.
