BOSTON FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

After having photographed Sylina & Tony’s engagement and wedding a few years back, it was so wonderful to receive an email from Tony once again, this time asking if I could come by their house to surprise Sylina with a photoshoot with their new baby girl. And I do mean a complete surprise. On the day of the shoot, I approached the house and rang the video doorbell. Sylina was the first to spot me on camera, and after asking who I was, she then turned to Tony and said “wait, that looks like Stephen.”

Sylina was most definitely surprised, and Tony deserves credit for coordinating and syncing the session with Sylina’s busy schedule and this little girl’s nap time! We spent the next sixty minutes or so photographing baby girl, following her lead and comfort. Such expressive eyes and no shortage of smiles with this one! I’ll always remember Sylina & Tony’s wedding, as our own daughter was almost born on their wedding day (with me as their photographer!), so I’m thankful our little bundle waited just one more day so daddy could finish work.

Photography is really about telling a story, and there is no better invitation than being asked to capture the continuing story of one’s engagement, wedding, and first days as a family. Sylina and Tony, thank you again for your trust, energy, and endless enthusiasm.
