Boston Public Garden Engagement Session
BOSTON ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
When it comes to colorful portrait sessions here in New England, our first reliable go-to season is traditionally fall. But Massachusetts has plenty to offer in regards to vibrant backgrounds during spring — with the added bonus of less heat, humidity, and bugs! T + Y very much wanted to enjoy a springtime engagement session, set in a natural setting ideally with flowers. Here in Boston, April and early May are known for the flushes of daffodils and tulips, along with an intense display of flowering trees. I suggested a couple locations for consideration, knowing the most abundant show of flowers this time of the year is to be found in well-attended public gardens. Our engagement session in Boston Public Garden couldn’t have been timed more perfectly, with the flowers in full bloom and the trees lit up with pink and white. We spent an hour together, and I don’t think Mother Nature could have gifted us with a more beautiful day.
In fact, the day was such a gem, that everyone else also thought it’d be a great day to visit Boston Public Garden, too. With the sun finally out along with warmer weather, Boston was eager to come out of hibernation, and we knew in advance to expect some crowds. So when scheduling a Boston Public Garden engagement session or family portrait session, be prepared to bring some patience while scouting available spots for pictures in this popular shared space. Weekdays are an ideal choice for this location with less people traffic, but the weather postponed our session into the weekend, and T + Y did wonderfully focusing on each other and making the location their own.
