Cider Hill Farm Engagement Session
AMESBURY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
About a week before B+A invited me to photograph their engagement session at Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury, MA, I was visiting the property with family for our annual apple picking outing. While sampling the McIntoshes, Granny Smiths, and Galas, I was also taking note of the beautiful potential the setting offered for a portrait session. The orchards. The barn. The wildflowers. So needless to say, I was thrilled when B+A scheduled their engagement portraits for later that month at the farm.
We scheduled the session for an early weekday morning in late October after the close of apple picking. Cider Hill Farm attracts hundreds of visitors during peak season, so our choice of booking in late fall worked wonderfully, as we were able to explore and enjoy the property nearly on our own. I love the serenity of farm estates, and the privacy of these settings plays well with the intimate and personal nature of engagement sessions. B+A also love gardening (as do I), and you can’t help but feel inspired when working in a setting that captures your other passions and love.
After the session, I was thrilled to hear from B+A that our experience together and the final images captured all they were hoping for — and more. I had a fabulous time with these two, and I’m delighted we had the chance to celebrate their new beginning together in true New England style. Congratulations once again to you both!
