Grove At Briar Barn Inn Wedding

BOSTON NORTH SHORE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Puerto Rico — the furthest I’ve traveled to photograph a wedding. The closest I’ve traveled? That would be Grove at Briar Barn Inn, a mere few minutes from home here in beautiful Rowley, MA. Located just off the town’s center square, Grove inspires with its rustic charm, natural surroundings, and farm-inspired country aesthetic. Springtime is especially gorgeous at the property, with its display of tulips and budding trees — along with a few heat lamps — reminding us of the promise of warmer weeks to come.

The venue’s cozy inn made for the perfect getting-ready location, with K+N each preparing in their own suite. When planning your wedding photography, if it comes to choosing an hour of getting-photography verses photographing the last hour of your reception, my vote is for capturing the getting-ready moments of your day. Unless you’re concluding your night with a sparkler finale or escaping in a getaway car, consider saving that photography coverage for earlier in the day, especially if you’re not seeing each other before the ceremony. With photographs of you both getting ready, you’ll be given a peek at what the both of you were up to while you were hiding from each other not to be seen. Hopefully, all good things!

K+N chose to marry on the back lawn, followed by their reception in Grove’s gorgeous post-and-beam barn. Seriously, if you’re looking to have a rural, farmhouse-style wedding on Boston’s North Shore, visit Grove. With its warm woods, string lights, and wide windows, you’ll quickly see why other couples and photographers love the location.

Thank you, K+N, for inviting me to be part of your special day. I’ll always remember N. coming up to me at the end of the night, shaking my hand, and calling me a beast. He was truly thankful, and honest compliments don’t come much better than that!
