Family reunions and holiday gatherings are a great time to consider family portraits because it’s one of the few occasions everyone can put their busy world on pause and schedule some together time. When booking this time of year, the biggest wild card is weather. We all know New England forecasts are anything but predictable… with days ranging anywhere from the teens to the 50’s. Hey, it’s January, and we just had two days in the low 70’s! So this time of year, unless you are booking near-term and the weather is a certainty, it can work in your favor to pick a combo indoor-outdoor location (or even completely indoors if you’d like). As this session was only a few days after Christmas, we were first able to capture some initial shots indoors by the Christmas tree, and then we ventured outdoors for some images set against the beautiful marsh backdrop.
