Newburyport Spring Family Portrait Session
MAUDSLAY PARK FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning! I’ll often schedule photography sessions an hour or two from sunset, when the light is known for being particularly photo-friendly and gentler than mid-day sun. But shooting this late in the day can sometimes be a big ask for the little ones in the group, and so an alternative to consider is meeting in the earlier part of the day. The light can be just as beautiful in the morning hours, especially with the helping hand of tree cover, and the kids are feeling fresh and ready to go — just like little C. here!
Newburyport’s Maudslay Park is such a favorite location of mine, and with C. running off and taking the lead, there were plenty of spots — and dandelions — for her to explore! What I love most about the park though are the old growth trees, whispering stories of the many families they’ve embraced and surrounded. Like a photograph, nature has a keen way of reminding us about time and how all too quickly we grow.
A big thank you to this family for inviting me to be a part of your story. I hope we have the chance to come together again!
